This is the little rabbit Beverly sent me as a present -thanks Bev-I love the stamping on it and the way she made the tag -it's edged in black and looks really vintage. You can visit her blog at http://www.rhissaanna.blogspot. The other pictures are of my new doll -clay -the usual !!!
Next Doll and Basket I bought at a market
I spent last night putting 5 undercoats of gesso on this girl + 2 coats of acrylic and 2 of varnish approx 3 hours work !!!!!This time I'm going to try and dress her in something more colourful.I bought the basket at a market last w/e -made by a girl from Belgium ,she recycles paper and cardboard to make her crafts. This is made from newspaper.
Fairy Queen
I sculpted her from stone clay (as usual!!),painted her with golden acrylics and sealed with matt varnish. Her dress is made from silk and hand beaded(a right pain!),and she also has a little organza shrug jacket with tiny roses.I used silver plated wire and the organza for her wings and satin stitched the edges on my bernina machine.I put lace at her waist and her nails are painted silver.I would like your opinions please.Thanks.P.S. I took my friend RHISSANNAS advice and dressed her in white as she thought it would suit her best and shes right!you can visit her at www.rhissanna.blogspot.com PS.this doll is SOLD
BJD Doll
This is my second attempt at making a bjd doll .I like them "skinny" because the clothes look better on them.I'm fed up dressing them in black so I still don't know what colours will suit her.I sculpted her with stone clay and put 5 undercoats of gesso then painted with acrylics and sealed with spray matt varnish
